There are numerous holidays throughout the year, with eager shoppers looking for unique gift ideas. Marketing to your audience
specifically in anticipation of those holidays can be powerful when it comes to generating sales and interest. In this workshop we will talk about the best times of the year to start marketing (or creating) for specific holidays. A year-long2020 calendar print out, with holidays and promotion windows, will be given to students who attend, as well as a list of marketing strategies that will work during those times. Paper Beads are back and this time they’re bigger! Join this fun workshop to learn how to make large hole Pandora style paper beads perfect to add to your bracelet charm collection. All papers, tools and supplies will be provided by instructor.  This is one of the great uses of the fabulous paste paper you may have made with Patti Paulus last this month.

Palette & Page Workshop – Secret Inspiration Book Pendant

Does making something in which to hide a dream, wish, inspiring quote, inspiring or loving words intrigue you? How about the fun of making a tiny book? If it is one, the other or both come join Patti in this well-received workshop! You will be making an accordion book, approximately 1”x 1.5” small 🙂 A brass frame will be available for you to slip your book into that will enable you to wear it as a necklace. All supplies are included in the fee. Patti is excited to share this with you and encourages you to come prepared with some ideas for what you’d like to write in your Secret Inspiration Book! She will also have ideas of special messages to share, too. Additional kits will be available for purchase. Actively working as a lettering artist since 1982, Patti practices calligraphy as an art-form and uses hand-rendered letterforms in her graphic design work. She also paints, draws, is a bookmaker, and her love of charcoal opens up fresh avenues of expression for her.

If you’ve been wanting to learn wire work techniques this is the workshop for you! Learn how to create a basket weave bail to capture a donut shaped stone. This is a beginner level workshop, but it certainly helps if you are comfortable with jewelry pliers and wire. Once you have mastered this project you will easily be able to use the same technique to create bails on many other style of drilled stones. All supplies provided by the instructor. Advanced Kumihimo Bracelet

In ancient Japan, beautiful yet functional cords made with the traditional braiding art of kumihimo adorned everything from kimonos to samurai armor to prayer scrolls. Have you tried out Kumihimo and are now ready to advance to the next level? Then this is the class for you! In this class we will be adding beads to our braids in a pattern that will appear as though one color is blending into the next. You will learn the pattern in which to add the beads, plus we will discuss additional variations. All supplies and tools will be provided by the instructor. Kumihimo discs will be available for purchase.
