First Friday Oct. 2nd –
Art Space on Main Empty Bowls Raffle Event
It goes without saying that the coronavirus has changed the way we live and people are doing what they can to stay safe and healthy. One thing the virus has not changed is people in need are still in need. Therefore, Art Space on Main would like to continue its long tradition of serving our community.
With help from local restaurants and support from our community, Art Space has hosted its annual Empty Bowls charity event in October for the past 12 years. This long standing tradition has helped to support the Wayfarer’s House which is a women and children’s shelter in Elkton Maryland.
This year, the coronavirus has given us a challenge. We need a way to help the Wayfarer’s House in lieu of our traditional Empty Bowls event. Lori Willing, owner of Art Space on Main, will be holding a raffle to support the shelter in all that they do.
Please come by Art Space, located at 138 West Main Street in Elkton MD, during the month of October to purchase raffle tickets for hand crafted pottery made by Art Space members. There will be 6 large bowls on display. Raffle tickets are $5.00 a ticket, or five tickets for $20.00. We have taken steps to ensure everyone’s safety so please feel free to bring your friends and family along to help support our community!
The drawing will be on Monday November 2nd and the winners will be contacted by telephone. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Wayfayers House in Elkton. We look forward to seeing you all (and please remember your masks!) Thank you. For questions, please call Art Space on Main at (410) 620-2464.
